Papaya lake lodge is an eco-luxury lodge located on the edge of two beautiful crater lakes approximately 350 km from Kampala – the capital of Uganda. The lodge provides guests with a tranquil environment and magnificent views of the Rwenzori Mountains, crater lakes, tea, coffee and banana plantations uniquely designed with great craftsmanship.
Papaya Lake lodge has nine en-suite cottages situated between the trees on the extinct volcano crater’s slope with breathtaking views of the crater lakes. The cottages each have a double and single bed, they are spacious with a private veranda with deck chairs where guests can relax as they enjoy the views of the surrounding area. The bathrooms with a shower are beautifully decorated with local stone and have flushing toilets.
The ninth cottage is comfortable and luxurious with a fireplace-lit living room, has three bedrooms with comfortable bed and hanging mosquito nets, a well-decorated bathroom and a large terrace for guests to stretch out, relax and take in the beauty of the lodge and its surroundings. It is perfect for guests travelling as a family.
The lodge’s dining area is lit at night with lamps and serves guest with delicious international and traditional meals. The staff at Papaya Lake lodge is exceptional in their service and ensures that all their guests’ needs are met. The lodge has a well-stocked bar that serves cocktails, soft drinks and fine Ugandan coffee. Guests can enjoy a good cup of coffee before returning to their cottages for the night.
