Colobus monkey trekking happens in Nyungwe forest in southern Rwanda. The park has many individuals and often you can find a group of 400 individual while on this trek. Just like the other primates, it is best to trek for them in morning when they are active feeding. There is a semi habituated group in Nyungwe forest which makes the experience even more intriguing as you find them in their natural habitat. The Colobus monkeys are more active than the chimps keeping you entertained as you watch them.
What to Carry
- Insect repellent because you walk in the forest
- Water for drinking,
- Wear long sleeved shirts, trousers,
- Waterproof hiking boots and
- A good mood.
