Situated 10 minutes drive from Kibale forest national park, Chimpanzee forest Guest house is a comfortable accommodation with several cottages and camping ground. Chimpanzee guest house was formerly a residence of the British district commissioner in the 1950s during Uganda’s colonial period and was renovated and turned in to a guest house in 2003. The guest house is well maintained with guests often giving excellent feedback about the accommodation facility, the meals and excellent service from the staff. The comfortable lounge where guests can indulge in an excellent collection of colonial African literature dating back to the 1800s.

This is a budget accommodation but with beautifully furnished self-contained cottages that have spectacular views of Kibale forest national park and the surrounding tea plantations. The cottages have comfortable beds with mosquito nets and they offer guests privacy as they enjoy the nature surrounding the guest house. The guest house also has a large ancient colonial house accommodation facility which is beautifully furnished with two self-contained rooms in colonial setting. The colonial house also offers guest spectacular views of the surrounding tea plantations, Kibale forest national park and the crater lake. The bathrooms at the guest house have hot showers.

Chimpanzee Forest Guest house has a well-stocked bar with different types of soft drinks and alcohol. Guests can order drinks as they relax and un wind after the day’s activities. The guest house usually sets up an evening campfire for guests to chill and relax as they take in the sounds of the night as they are getting warmed up before retiring to bed.
