Budongo Eco Lodge

Budongo Eco Lodge is located Kaniyo Pabidi sector of Budongo Forest reserve which is part of Murchison Fall national park. It serves as the perfect base camp when chimp trekking in Budongo forest. The lodge provides its guests with comfortable and pocket friendly accommodation. Budongo forest reserve has 9 different species of primates, 360 species of birds, over 290 types of butterflies and some of the oldest trees in Uganda.

Budongo Eco Lodge has 6 eco, log cabins each secluded in the forest for maximum privacy and well-constructed with traditional materials for a low environmental impact. The cabins have comfortable beds with comfortable bed lined and the beds are fitted with mosquito nets. The rooms are spacious and bright with large twin or double beds. Overlooking the forest and its rich birdlife is a private veranda. En-suite is a fully equipped bathroom with a wash table, shower and separate composting toilet.

The Lodge also has four dormitory rooms each fitted with 2x bunk beds for a maximum of 4 people which is ideal for guests travelling together. The bathroom facilities in the dormitory rooms are shared and are right next to the dormitory rooms.

The reception area is located in the visitor’s center and has large comfortable couches where guests can relax on arrival or while on their stay at the lodge. The lodge has a craft shop opposite the reception area where visitors can shop for items of their interest.

Budongo Eco Lodge has a large and spacious lounge with comfortable chairs where visitors can relax after a day’s activities. The bar in the lounge is well- stocked with different kinds of drinks. The terrace restaurant at Budongo Eco lodge offers its guests delicious traditional and international meals served hot by the staff. Guests can also enjoy freshly-brewed Ugandan coffee while at the lodge.There is free WIFI available in public areas.
